From its earliest incarnation as a spinnaker manufacturer, Precision Technical Sewing has been solving technical problems with fabric, thread and lots of know-how for over 30 years.
Started by world-class sailor Sally Lindsay in 1972, the company was purchased by operations manager Susan Ashley and technical sales manager Josh Orkin upon Sally’s retirement. Having spent years with the company, Susan and Josh had the technical know-how that allowed them to carry on the PTS name for precise sewing and expert fabric construction.
Today, Precision Technical Sewing specializes in making customized high-value sewn items. We’ve made countless industrial covers, bags, walls and specialized tools for engineers and designers in the industrial, medical, defense and semi-conductor markets. Many of our projects use fabric to fulfill specific needs such as insulation, conduction, isolation, cushioning and more.
